This type of weft knitting is also known as 3D knitting or Flyknit and has endless possibilities.

The technicians use a software to instruct the machine what do do in every section of the upper. The material, the shape, the patterns, the thickness... It can all be changed in different areas of the piece in order to get a multifunctional textile engineered to fulfill different requirements.
